What Am I Writing Next? About Fathoms Deep: A Blood Shadow Novel
Important: This entire post contains big spoilers for the Eye of the Storm series and Blood Shadow (Blood Never Lies, 1).
Selena-cum-Jennifer Warren-cum-Laura Dalton has had quite a journey every since she was captured by Gabriel (a Trident / bad guy) in the Eye of the Storm series. On the run for pretty much five years, she initially thought she had settled, but it turned out she'd settled within a dangerous village she knew nothing about. Cue: the need to go on the run again.
But she's not alone. She has the help of Roman (and despite my spoiler warning, I will not reveal who Roman is just in case you are yet to read Blood Shadow).
For those of you who have read Blood Shadow, here is a (super-brief, meme-type) reminder of where we left her (and Roman)...
From 3rd November (after school half term ends here in England), I will begin writing Fathoms Deep, which is where Selena (now Laura) is heading after Blood Shadow. Most of it will be set in the Greek Islands. I advice you not to read the blurb for Fathoms Deep until you have read Blood Shadow, because massive spoilers are in it. It is impossible to not have spoilers in the blurbs for continuing books because I have to describe what is happening in the context of what has happened!
For those of you ready to read it, here is the page for the long overdue novel, Fathoms Deep. I intend this to be just one novel completing Selena's arc.
And if you decide to read Blood Shadow, I also highly, highly recommend you read Aftershock as there is a beautiful moment towards the end where the two books meet. And it really is beautiful – we get to see Selena shine a bit.
Here is a teaser for Aftershock:
I'm very much looking forward to writing this now (after such a long siesta!).
Are you looking forward to it, too? Let me know. And what did you think of the two books above? What are you looking forward to learning the most about Selena's conclusion?
All thoughts too long for a social media post will be posted right here on this blog as I get stuck in with the writing :)
Have a great Halloween / All Saint's Day / Day of the Dead.
Bright wishes,
Dianna xx
