Vampire Poetry & Paving The Way For A New Style Of Writing

The official website for my vampire poetry book, A Silver Kiss, is up and running and I thought I'd share some thoughts on the progression of my writing:

My first two compilations, Little Moments Of Truth and Sienna Dawn (released by the end of this month) were never intended for the mass market. They were personal, autobiographical ventures meant primarily for my daughter and my family, which I thought I'd make available to share should anyone else be interested.

A Silver Kiss, is intended for mass market distribution. It is the first compilation of poetry that I have ever written that wasn't borne out of highly emotional moments. In my past and throughout my childhood, poetry was affectively like my diary. It was a record of things that was either going through, or things that I was feeling. A Silver Kiss has not been like that in the slightest. It was a project that I set myself and each poem was structured to create the book. This is not to say that I don't feel passionate about the poems. Some of them really touched some deep cords and were quite interesting, even difficult at times, to write. I call the characters within the book, my vampires. They are my vampires. I've grown to know them quite well over the past 3 months, and myself a little bit better too.

A Silver Kiss has paved the way for a new style of writing [within poetry] for me, and the next compilations over the next year at least, will be among similar lines.

The book's official site gives you a good feel for what it's all about, gives you all release information and will be accordingly updated as time goes on.
