End Of The Week Round-Up

This is sort of an end of the week round-up:

1. The proof copies of my paperbacks are here, for The Witching Pen and The Sands Of Time, and they look great! These are trade size paperbacks (large paperbacks), but I've made the font a regular size with regular spacing, as you'd find in a small paperback. This saves me cost, you cost, and it saves some paper.
Here's the cheapest place you can preorder them - http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/search?searchTerm=satin+smoke+press&search=search

2. The Witching Pen on Kindle UK is currently selling at 6% off (only 72p). I've no idea how long for, so if you haven't read it yet, grab it ASAP - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Witching-Pen-Novellas-ebook/dp/B005EZHVRQ

3. The short story, Wilted (A Witching Pen Novellas Prequel) should be available in B&N next week sometime, and it'll be free. I'll upload it to Amazon soon too, but it'll be $0.99 on there, and Amazon may not price match. Currently, you can get it from Smashwords for free - http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/131164

4. I'm going back and forth between writing The Demon Bride (The Witching Pen Novellas) and Releasing The Wolf (Eye Of The Storm). The truth is, that I'm not very good at writing when I've got a marketing hat on, so it's slow and frustrating at the moment: I need to shut myself off in a little writing bubble for a while, but not yet sure when I can do that, although I know it will happen when the time's right -- the writing urge will just overtake me, so to speak ;)

5. I had a lovely 5 STAR review of 'Til Death Do Us Part from Fiction Fascination:  "...short, snappy and brilliantly sexy."Read the full review here.

6. We're heading towards the end of the month, and the book with the most sales this month, across the board, is easily The Witching Pen. As you can imagine, I'm over the moon about that :)  If you've come across this blog by accident and have no idea what The Witching Pen Novellas are all about, take a look here - http://www.thewitchingpen.co.uk (or see point 8 below)

7. I would talk about how PayPal are targeting erotica and forcing publishers, writers and readers to bend to their will, but I've already talked about it quite a lot, and it just makes me steaming mad and I don't want to ruin my Sunday. If you want more info on this appalling state of affairs, read the blog post linked at the end of this paragraph, but I also urge you to read the comments, as there is quite a lot of info and background to the whole situation in the comments - http://remittancegirl.com/discussions/two-legs-bad-an-open-letter-to-mark-coker-smashwords-censorship-erotica/  There's also a petition you can sign against the whole thing here - http://www.thepetitionsite.com/7/stop-internet-censorship/

8. Finally, tomorrow (27th Feb), I'm on Madsheep Reading, blogging about what The Witching Pen Novellas is all about :)  I hope to see you there -- please do stop by and leave a comment!
