Friday Weekly Update

I'm going to try to do this every Friday for anyone who's not on FB or Twitter regularly to see my chaotic, regular posts ;)

1. Don't miss the giveaway for a signed paperback of The Witching Penhttp://fictionfascination.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/demon-bride-by-dianna-hardy-cover.html - you can also see the trade paperback cover for The Demon Bride there. (I'll add the cover to my own sites over the weekend.)

2. Wilted (A Witching Pen Novellas Prequel) is now on Amazon, but don't buy it from there! It's free everywhere else, and I'm waiting for them to make a decision on whether they'll offer if for free or not. I hope the answer is yes. Since I've got the other books on there, it'll be bad marketing for them not to.

3. The Demon Bride progress: 13,356 / 60,000 words complete

4. The paperback of The Demon Bride can be pre-ordered now from Amazon UK, Amazon US and The Book Depository. It's retailed at £7.49 (more than the other two books) because the word count is greater. The large trade paperback will work out at around 200 pages. If it ends up being less, the price will go down at the time you pay for it, but it's actually more likely to be longer and go up, although at the moment, I don't think this will happen as the plot is being good and following my lead ;)  This is the problem with self-publishing paperbacks - you have to promote it while you're still writing it for it to have any affect on the market and readership. You have to do this with eBooks too, but paperbacks need a 6 month lead into the trade, and in many cases it's pre-ordering them that helps to get them onto book lists, etc. (Bored yet? Lol.) In short, producing and marketing paperbacks is bloody hard work, but many people prefer paperbacks to eBooks...

5. Finalising the proof of the Bites paperback (by author Ninfa Hayes) for entry into distribution. It's looking good :)

6. I'm planning a 'Til Death Do Us Part, competition and SWAG bag. No date on this yet - probably next month.

That's it! As usual, if you have any thoughts about the last week or anything above, please feel free to comment :)

Have a great Friday 13th!
