Weekly Friday Update - 20/04/12
Not too much to report this week :)
Perhaps the biggest thing is that I'm expanding my genres and writing urban fantasies as well as paranormal romances going forward. My writing is leaning that way, and I've always see myself more as a fantasy author, than a romance author anyway, despite all that sex and swearing I like to write about(!). I like to challenge characters' relationships way after they get together, and bring them into other couples' storylines too - life is a family affair, and it's not all roses and kittens in my world. I also have a sneaky suspicion that my happy endings, may not be the same as everyone else's happy endings ... we'll see! But life is also about learning acceptance and how to be happy, as well as having happiness thrust at you. Yeah, I like my stories a bit gritty at times ;)
I've finalised the cover for the novel to The Last Angel. This is the spin-off novel to The Witching Pen Novellas, and will be a steamy, fast and furious urban fantasy with all your favourite characters. It'll be released sometime in the summer of 2013.
Also in 2013, I'll be working on my Project Veil series, of which there will be two novels I think. More about that at a later date. But we're also looking at a steamy urban fantasy for these two books, and there will be very loose tie-ins with The Witching Pen world, although none of the characters will be the same, and we'll be looking at ... VAMPIRES! Oh yes.
Finally, next week I'll be posting the cover for the omnibus edition of The Witching Pen Novellas. Obviously, this is the whole trilogy (including the short story prequel) in one book, for anyone who loves all three stories. The individual books will remain available, because not everyone will like all three stories, as each couple's story is so different ;)
The omnibus will be available to purchase in paperback from the beginning of December this year. Not yet sure when the eBook will be out - probably at around the same time, all ready for Christmas :)
